VIDEO POKER
JACKS OR BETTER DESCRIPTION- The object of the game
is to get any of the winning combinations fo poker hands. Video Poker
is a game of draw poker, in which the player is dealt 5 cards face
up. The player then decides which cards to keep or "hold" and which
cards to discard.
HOW TO PLAY JACKS OR BETTER VIDEO POKER- Jacks or
Better is the classic version of video poker, using a regular deck
of 52 cards and no wild cards. The minimum payout hand is a pair of
Jacks, hence the name! This game most accurately represents the odds
of poker, and gives high payouts for good hands.
PLAYING THE GAME You deposit coins into the machine
to place your wager. The bet must be placed before you draw your cards,
and can't be changed once play starts. After your bet, you push a
button marked "Deal/Draw", this will result in you seeing your initial
hand of five cards.
BET MAX- Press the Bet Max button to play 5 coins
on the hand.
BET ONE- Press the Bet One button to play 1 coin
on the hand.
SELECTED COIN VALUE- Select the coin value you wish to play
with at the top of the screen. The Selected Coin Value being played
can be changed anytime after a completed deal.
HOLD CARDS- You then decede if you wish to keep any
of the cards in your hand. To hold cards push the "Hold/Cancel" button
under the card(s) or click the card itself. In the event you change
your mind and don't wish to keep a previously held card push the Press
the "Hold" button a second time and the hold will be conceled. (The
word "hold" appears under your help cards).
DEAL/DRAW- Press the Draw/Deal button after a bet
is placed to begin the game; or press Draw/Deal to obtain new cards
for those cards not held. Your final hand determines whether you win
or lose the game.
WINNING COMBINATIONS
NATURAL ROYAL- THis is the highest possible hand
in poker. A Royal Flush consists of Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10
of the same suit, pays 250 times if you bet from 1 to 4 coins and
4000 times if you make a five coin bet.
STRAIGHT FLUSH- This is the second highest hand possible.
A Straisht Flush consists of five cards in order and of the same suit;
(note that an ace can ususally be counted as the lowest card in the
order) for example A,2,3,4,5 is a group of five ordered cards, pays
50 times your stake.
FOUR OF A KIND- This hand consists of four cards
of the same value plus one other odd card (for example A A J A A),
pays 25 times your stake.
FULL HOUSE- Is a hand containing three cards of one
rank plus two cards of another rank (for example J,J,J,4,4 or A,A,A,Q,Q).
Pays 6 to 9 times your stake.
FLUSH- If all five cards in a hand belong to the
same suit you have a Flush (for example: 4 of Spades 5 of Spades,
7 of Spades, Queen of Spades and Ace of Spades), pays 5 to 6 times
your stake.
STRAIGHT- A straight consists of five cards in order,
but not of the same suit. It pays 3 times your stake.
THREE OF A KIND- Is a hand containing three cards
of the same value along with two odd cards. It pays triple your stake.
TWO PAIRS- A pair is two cards of the same value
or rank. You have two pair if the hand has two pair plus an odd card.
It pays double your stake.
JACKS OR BETTER- Pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings or
Aces (As the hand name says), returns your stake.
